Megablade heads to New York 

Broons are celebrating the design and manufacture of the world’s largest soil compactor – the Megablade! This unique one off custom roller is to be used for an enormous earthmoving project on Staten Island, New York. South Australian Minister for Manufacturing & Innovation Kyam Maher was on site to congratulate Broons director Stuart Bowes before the roller was shipped off to New York. Mr. Bowes was proud of his engineering team and highlighted the expertise that local businesses in S.A. can sell to the world. “Our American client searched the globe to find somebody with the industry experience and engineering nous to build his dream compactor – and he couldn’t go past Broons here in Gillman”  he enthused. 

The Megablade will be conducting ground improvement work for online giant Amazon’s new warehousing and distribution hub.
