Our story started in 1973 with the formation of Broons Hire, a company created through Coates hire in South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. As more specialised earthmoving plant was required, Broons became an outsourced manufacturer, willing to design new ground improvement equipment.

Through our unique Square Impact Roller and Rock Buster products the company expanded into road maintenance rollers – Vibrating Rollers, Combination Rollers,  and Grid Rollers – all built at the Woodville manufacturing plant.

The Broons Square Impact Roller has been in constant demand on the world’s largest projects, from Olympic stadiums,  International airports, the Palm Islands of Dubai and Mine Sites around the globe.

Broons has also consistently supplied towed rollers to local government in charge of the vast gravel road network in Australia. Hundreds of our durable rollers maintain the integrity of the network, securing access for not only rate payers but a reliable passageway for the whole agriculture industry.

But more than anything we owe our success to Broons’ dedicated staff and loyal customers over 5 decades of business. Through their enthusiasm and trust our products have revolutionised roller design and manufacturing.

From the vision of founder Graham Bowes, and expansion through sons Angus & Stuart, one thing remains – the pursuit of perfection.  Now at our  state of the art facility at Gillman, many more decades of innovation lie ahead.
