BROONS TOWED VIBRATING ROLLERS
Broons’
range of towed vibrating rollers are ideal for compaction of
loose lifts between 100mm-300mm thickness.
The rollers are ideally suited to soils, but will
work adequately on rock fill with grading no greater than 200mm
minus.
Often expensive self propelled rollers sit idle
for weeks at a time, and that is a lot of cash tied up in an
under-utilised machine. A towed machine will eliminate this
concern immediately as the purchase price of the towed machine
can be around 60% of a self propelled roller with similar
performance.
Broons offers a wide range of eight models, from
5.5 tonne right through to the world's largest towed vibrating
roller, the BH-2440 at 16.3 tonnes operating weight. And, it
shouldn’t be overlooked that all of this weight is over the
drum, unlike a self-propelled machine where the weight transfer
is split between the front drum and rear tyres.
Smooth, padfoot and sheepsfoot drums are
available across the range, and all use reliable aircooled Deutz
engines that comply with Euro III emissions.
As expected, Broons’ vibrating rollers are tough
and durable, and manufactured to the same high quality that has
come to be associated with the Company. They are supported with
the same impressive service and parts back-up that all Broons
products enjoy.
